Zach Welcker received a B.A. with high honors from the University of Montana in 1998. In 2008, he earned a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law where he was a fellow with the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics, co-director of the 2007 Public Interest Environmental Law Conference, and executive editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation. He also co-authored an article with Professor Mary Christina Wood entitled Tribes as Trustees Again (Part I): The Emerging Tribal Role in the Conservation Trust Movement, which was published in volume 32-2 of the Harvard Environmental Law Review in 2008. Before joining Kanji & Katzen, Zach clerked for the Honorable Procter Hug, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
